I would like to introduce a new area into our safe havens, The Pirate Cove.

Inside The Pirate Cove there will be various amounts of mini games which you can play with your fellow pirate such as;

Black Jack

Roulette

Poker​

Whilst playing these games you will be able to stake gold. Each mini game will also have a monthly ranking where you will acquire points each time you win regardless of your stake.

A win will grant you 3 points.
A loss will remove 1 point.​

Although your monthly ranking points will be reset, your casino points will stack up and you will be able to trade in your point for various prizes such as,

3 points - 100 x Shell Shock ammunition.
3 points - 100 x Flares ammunition.

100 points - 5 x Tritons blessing.
100 points - 5 x Legba Amulets.

5000 points - 1 x Kings booty bag.
10000 points - 14 x Steel Fortification.
10000 points - 14 x The Queens Legacy.

30000 points - 1 x Black Jack. (A brand new ship design).
30000 points - 1 x Roulette. (A brand new ship design).
30000 points - 1 x Poker. (A brand new ship design).​

At the end of the season players will be awarded with the following;

1st place - 30,000 points
2nd place - 10,000 points
3rd place - 7,500 points
4-10th place - 5000 points
11-50th place - 2500 points
51-100th place - 1000 points​

Points can also be purchased with pearls at a ratio of 20 pearls for 1 point.

1) Personally; but with respect to your suggestion, it's not something that i wish to see introduced to this game as the internet already suffers from an over-abundance of gambling activities.

2) It encourages youngsters to gamble, which may also infringe the gaming guidelines for which Bigpoint are responsible in applying.

3) Their servers already struggle with lag as things currently stand, more activity will place extra demand on these servers.

 

As i respect your feedback, Poker and Black Jack teaches maths and roulette is a game of chance.

There is already many gambling aspects in this game such as bonus maps, Cauldron of Aruba and the Bokkurs Chalice. Mini games like these would not cause lag as its text based games inside a game client.

There is already many gambling games available which children play which does not require an age restriction.

I actually quite like this idea. Its not something I have seen suggested before and actually could be a great little time-killer whilst waiting for team mates to join an event group map with you.

I did think the prices looked rather steep but then saw the end-of-event rewards and I think that's a great idea, and the skins would be interesting too. Its something players could work on slowly with no real need to grind hard, as they can get the items over time anyway. I would maybe amend the rewards a little more in favour of the player, as winning 1 game would take a few minutes and give the equivalent to 30 pearls worth of flares. Maybe 500 Points could give a Doomhammer cannon? This would be great for the free-to-play players as the majority of the pay-2-win players would be working during the day and therefore unable to push the ranks too hard, and it couldn't be botted either.

The other point to raise would be to ensure its monitored in a way that stops players from pushing for these rewards, but hopefully bigpoint find a way to approach this.

Apart from that I like the idea, a bit of balancing and it would be brilliant!

I like your idea of the Doom Hammer, it would open this game up more free to play. If this idea was put forward i'm sure the developers would look at every possible way to prevent point pushing.

Perhaps having the games randomised, so you join a random game and if you leave a game as soon as you join you must wait 10 mins before joining another game and you will loose points.

Since poker and black jack can be manipulated by having friends working together on a table loosing the game to your friends would make you loose your points too which would affect your own ranking.

Another thing to add would be, you start the season on 10 points and you pay 1 point to play 1 game to try and win 3 points. Point pushers would be forced to buy more points for pearls after loosing 10 games. This would stop point pushing.

Lol, I like it. It is definitely an alternative to the Magic Lantern. But the problems it could present may outweigh the initial "fun" aspect that you had originally intended.

G.M. does raise a legitimate point about encouraging youngsters to gamble. Maybe not even so healthy for adults. Gambling addiction is a very serious issue. Contributing to a problem like that is not such a good idea.

You may find players coming in just to gamble. This would definitely detract from regular game play. I would not want to see the game turn into "Sea Gamble".

 

One of my worries about an idea like this is simply, you will end up having a lot of players just sat in the Safe Haven playing these games, or even botting these games, and then their is even less people on the water for players to shoot etc.

So I am right in assuming that you win gold from each game and the more you stake the more gold you shall win?

For many players gold is not worth the time now, and with how profitable it is to make pearls in the Commonwealth Raid I am sure players shall take advantage of your:

I know myself, I would not waste my time playing such games in the safe haven when for 200k pearls (easily made) I could just buy the Queens Legacy.

Just my thoughts on the subject.
