    Updated Game rules

    Seafight Game Rules

    1. Registration

By registering for a Seafight account, the player accepts our Terms and Conditions, which can be found on the game's webpage or the Bigpoint portal, as well as in every set of rules associated with the game (forum rules, chat rules, house rules, etc.).

    2. Bug Using, Game Errors, Exploits

It is forbidden to exploit bugs or programming mistakes for personal gain and to disclose them to third parties for exploitative usage. Players who take advantage of such errors and who are caught by the system will have the unfairly obtained items/benefits removed from the game account. The player will also likely be banned from the game indefinitely.

If errors or bugs are discovered in the game, these must be immediately reported to the Seafight Moderators or game management (Support). Preferably, reports should be made in written form and sent to Support via the contact form. Bugs, errors, and exploits that could lead to unfair player advantages can only be reported to Support via the contact form.

    3. Prohibited Utility Programs and Automation

Our games may only be played in a conventional browser in its original, unaltered form or a game client which has been specifically designed for a game. The use of unauthorized utility programs, bots, macros (e.g. Fiddler), scripts, as well as any other applications designed to automate game processes or influence the game client's design and mechanics are explicitly forbidden.

    4. Personal Advantage: Pushing/Multi-accounting/Farming

    4.1. Pushing

Pushing is strictly forbidden in all our games. Pushing is the interaction of two or more game accounts with the goal of providing at least one of these accounts with any type of advantage. Pushing applies to accounts belonging to one user as well as to multiple players. Support reserves the right to decide whether or not the interactions between two accounts can be constituted as pushing.

    4.2. Multi-accounting

It is generally allowed to operate multiple account on the same server in the game Seafight under the condition that any interaction undertaken between the accounts is not used for the purpose of pushing. In case of violation, all accounts shall be deleted.

    4.3. Farming

It is strictly forbidden to create so-called "Farming accounts" in our games. Farming happens when an account is created for the purpose of providing other existing accounts with an advantage (e.g. through the exploitation of an account, friend invites, mass gift-giving, etc.)

    5. Behavior within the Community

    5.1. Communication

In all our games as well as in all the used channels of communication (for example, the forum, chat, in-game message system, social networks, Support contact form) we believe that everyone should behave in a respectful and appropriate manner. We expect all players, as well as our staff (moderators, admins, supporters, and community managers), to uphold and exhibit respectful communication within the community.

Please be aware that there could be individual rules for the various communication channels. All community members are required to know these rules and observe them: the forum rules (including the forum code of conduct) are clearly displayed in the forum. For games with a chat system, you will also find the chat rules in the forum. The chat rules apply to private in-game messages as well.

Insults, profanity, threats, bad behavior, as well as spam in any form are not allowed. Content as well as links to external pages with content which are sexist, pornographic, political, racist or unlawful in any other way are prohibited. This also applies to all channels of communication (the forum, chat, in-game message system, social networks, Support contact form) provided by Bigpoint S.à.r.l. and Co, SCS.

    5.2. Real-Life Extortion or Threats

Any real-life threats or blackmail attempts within the game will be traced back to the perpetrator and will lead to their immediate suspension from one or all the games/areas of Bigpoint S.à.r.l. and Co, SCS. Any contributions with the explicit intent of trying to track down other people or players, in order to do harm or cause damage to them or other third parties will be considered a real life threat as soon as they are mentioned (this includes: forums, chats, in-game messaging systems, social networks, or via support contact form).

    6. Account Usage

6.1 Account Data and Account Security

The user is responsible for keeping their account data (login data, passwords, etc.) secret and secure. Under no circumstances is it allowed to pass this information onto third parties; each player is personally responsible for the use and security of his/her account. No Bigpoint employee or authorized member of the Bigpoint chat or forum team will ever ask a player for his/her full access data. No liability will be assumed for damages caused due to carelessness. This applies to access to the game account, to any potential portal accounts that might be created at http://bigpoint.com, as well as the e-mail address or e-mail accounts attached to the game account and to which account data could be sent.

Further information about account security can be found in the FAQ in the game forum as well as in the data security notice shown in each game.

6.2 Selling, Trading, and/or Gifting Accounts

Users are prohibited from operating accounts for commercial purposes, from selling accounts or from transferring accounts to third parties for other purposes. It is also forbidden to take over game accounts from third parties (whether they bought, lent or were given the account).

Bigpoint is not liable for any damage that may arise from the operation of an account by more or such other person (s). Each player is responsible for his/her account and must reckon with the consequences that may result from the further disclosure of his/her data.

    7. User and Guild Names

By registering for one of our games, players are obliged to select a politically correct username (and if necessary, guild name or tag). Any usernames, guild names or tags which are sexist, pornographic, political, racist or unlawful/offensive in any other way are prohibited. It is also prohibited to choose usernames, guild names or tags similar to the names of moderators, admins, community managers, etc.

    8. Violation of the Rules

Depending on the severity of the infringement as well as previously issued warnings, a violation of the above-mentioned rules can result in temporary suspension from the game to permanent expulsion from the game (account deletion). Support reserves the right to decide whether or not game rules have been violated. The point of contact here is the Supporter or Admin assigned the responsibility of suspending accounts.

    9. Terms and Conditions

These rules are an extension of the existing Terms & Conditions and as such must be adhered to in the same manner. The valid Terms and Conditions can be viewed at http://www.bigpoint.com, as well as each game's homepage. In the event that a situation is not covered specifically by these game rules, then support reserves the right to make the final decision taking the Terms and Conditions into account.

    10. Changes to the Rules

The Bigpoint S.à.r.l. and Co, SCS reserves the right to change the game rules at any time. Should certain provisions within these rules be invalid or inapplicable, the invalidity or inapplicability of that provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining rules on a whole.
