Wrath of Calypso​

Important Times

The event will
· start at 12:00 noon on Feb. 21st
· end at 12:00 noon on Mar. 7th​

The event will be conducted in 2 phases – each from 12:00 noon until 12:00 noon on the following dates:
Phase 1: Feb. 21st - Feb. 28th
Phase 2: Feb. 28th - Mar. 07th​

The Black Market will be open until the end of Mar. 8th.​

During the Wrath of Calypso you will find three event ships on the Sea Charts 2-1 – 25-1:
Penelope, Odysseus and Telemachos

Penelope can be shot with gold ammunition.
When she gets killed, a zone of Lost Love will spawn, where she goes down.

Against Odysseus and Telemachos you need to use elite ammunition.

Additionally you will find different event ships in each phase!

First phase

During the first part of the event, Sirens will appear on the maps. They can cast a special Sirens Singing zone which will make any player standing inside it “Infatuated”! This Infatuation causes you to temporarily lose control of your ship and move around randomly for 10 seconds. Although you can’t shoot whilst being infatuated, you are able to use all of your Action Items.

The Sirens Singing zone will disappear for a period of time, if repealed by a player.
After a certain time, or as her health goes down, the zone will get triggered again, eventually getting bigger until it is finally too big for even the most far reaching cannons to shoot from outside the zone!

Therefore, one player must sacrifice himself and sail into the zone, which will cause it to temporarily disappear.

If several players are standing inside the Sirens Singing zone when it is activated they will all get infatuated!

You can use Unstoppable to break free from this infatuation.

Second phase
During the second phase of the event Calypso will spawn to avenge the death of her beloved Odysseus!

When an Odysseus NPC gets sunk there is a chance that his death will result in Calypso spawning.

Calypso has a huge amount of hit points and will be accompanied by 4 Tentacles!

These Tentacles can be shot with gold ammo but will keep respawning as Calypso’s hit points get reduced. As soon as Calypso has been sunk, all remaining Tentacles will disappear. To fight against Calypso you need to use elite ammo.

All targets also reward XP, when the preconditions are met. XP is shared after caused damage.

Heartbreaker ammunition will cause the most damage against all event ships.

You can accept quests by visiting Nikolaos in a Safe Haven.

There will be 4 cycles with quests, from where the last in each cycle will be repeatable throughout the event.

Event Chests you can open with Event Keys. They can be bought on the Black Market.

In the Chests you will find many useful items, like ammunition, crystals and Event Keys.
You can also get cursed or radiant souls.

You can find some “statuettes”, Oracle of Delphi, as well.

Oracle of Delphi must be shot with harpoons.

If you cause the most damage, you can win items, e.g.:

Heartbreaker Ammo, Crystals, Harpoons Level 4, Seer’s Vision, Hailstorms, 60 Pounder Cannon or a gem!​

Points for the event ranking can be obtained by making the most damage against any of the above mentioned Event Ships.

Please note that due to the prizes being given out randomly, players can win more than once!

Cursed and Radiant Souls can be used to purchase items in the Black Market!

The Black Marked offers a selection of different items, including the new design: Calypso’s Embrace and a new pet: the Minos Eel1. Other items available during the event include some older designs and pets, Heartbreaker Ammo, Event Keys and a range of temporary Buffs.

The Cursed and Radiant Souls will be exchanged for in-game items. Specific details will be revealed nearer the end of the event.

The Event Keys will be replaced by normal chest keys at a ratio of 1:1.

 

We will exchange the souls and event keys on Thursday, 9th March at 1 pm (local server time):
